Amanda Sevcik, Ph.D.

Dr. Sevcik joined the post-doctoral program in the fall of 2021. Because of her experience as a senior faculty lecturer and biochemistry lab coordinator for Baylor University, she is a powerful addition to our lab.

Dr. Sevcik continues her work with nanotherapeutics including nanoliposome synthesis loading and characterization, with the goal of utilizing the particles as drug delivery vehicles for both human and plant systems (USDA and NIH funded).

Amanda has a passion for science, teaching, and learning, which shines through her work. We look forward to her future work and accomplishments as a member and Associate Research Scientist of the Sayes Group.

  • Evaluation of the mechanism of action of colchicine-like benzosuberene molecules targeting tubulin binding and inhibition of tubulin polymerization
